About GameChanger:
We believe in the life-changing impact youth sports have on and off the field because they encourage leadership, teamwork, responsibility, and confidence—important life lessons that have the power to propel our youth toward meaningful futures. We recognize that without coaches, parents, and volunteers, organized youth sports could not exist. By building the first and best place to experience the youth sports moments important to our community, we are helping families elevate the next generation through youth sports.
So if you love sports and their community-building potential, or building cool products is your sport, GameChanger is the team for you. We are a remote-first, dynamic tech company based in New York City, and we are solving some of the biggest challenges in youth sports today.
The Position:
The Revenue Growth team is focused on accelerating GameChanger's revenue by improving conversion, retention, and subscriber lifetime value. The team works at the intersection of product, data, and experimentation, running tests, studying user behavior, and finding ways to move those metrics meaningfully. Their work is data-driven, fast-moving, and directly tied to the company's bottom line.
As an Engineering Manager, you'll lead a team of engineers that runs experiments across all product surface areas using data and user insight to identify opportunities and validate what works. You'll coach your team, help shape the team's experimentation roadmap, and partner closely with cross functional teammates to connect hypotheses to real business outcomes. You'll report to the Director of Engineering of our Monetization group.
What You’ll Do:
Coach and develop engineers through regular 1:1s, clear expectations, and opportunities that stretch their skills and build toward their goals.
Shape the experimentation roadmap by partnering with cross-functional peers as a strategic thought partner. Help your team navigate trade-offs and drive predictable delivery by breaking work into shippable increments.
Champion a culture of experimentation, helping your team instrument features correctly, design reliable tests, maintain engineering rigor, and iterate quickly to generate insights and learn from both successes and failures.
Guide technical direction for GameChanger’s experimentation platform, supporting other teams’ experimentation needs and guiding them to run effective A/B tests.
Work with other engineering leaders to improve our culture, craft, and engineering practices across the organization.
Attract and onboard top engineering talent, ensuring alignment with our values, technical excellence, and AI fluency in their approach to work.
Who You Are:
3+ years leading engineering teams and 5+ years of software development experience, including architectural design and technical direction, with a track record of growing engineering talent.
Technically fluent across platforms including native iOS or Android development, web and backend.
Highly organized, strategic and execution-minded, with a strong ability to turn ambiguity into clear plans, aligned priorities, and shippable increments.
Comfortable working in a metrics-driven environment, with an understanding of how A/B testing, funnel analysis, and behavioral data inform product and engineering decisions.
Believes that speed and maintaining engineering rigor are complementary, not at odds. You bring the same bar for code quality, testing, and system health to experimental work as you do to core product, and you hold your team to that standard regardless of whether something is a short-term test or a long-term investment.
Active in developing your own AI fluency and in helping your team do the same. You hold a high bar for judgment and ownership regardless of how code gets written.
Motivated by GameChanger's mission to connect communities through sport.
