This role is hybrid, requiring three days per week onsite in our Needham, MA headquarters.  


As a software engineering manager for the Data Streams team, you will lead and grow a team of up to 12 engineers to build low latency data pipelines. You will work closely with all functions at Advisor360, from engineering, product, go-to-market, operations, finance, and more to ensure the team releases highly reliable and performant services across thousands of users. 


Your Impact

  • Leading up to 12 engineers, enabling them to be high impact and catalyzing their growth
  • Leveraging a deep understanding of both product and engineering to ensure the teams are building data pipelines that meet the security, reliability, and performance demands. 
  • Building data pipelines end to end, including tooling, monitoring and alerting, and orchestrating unified view of data sources
  • Partner closely with financial data engineers, leadership, and go-to-market to build winning products that unlock new capabilities for our users
  • Work closely a wide breadth of non-technical stakeholders to ensure the team is meeting business goals, aligning on scope and setting clear expectations on delivery timelines
  • Ensuring continuity of work and focus in an ecosystem that evolves quickly and demands adaptability
  • Work closely with engineers on team process, project management, and team health to ensure high productivity and morale
  • Hire great engineers that level up the team.


Requirements

  • Deep knowledge of SDLC methodologies (Agile, DevOps) and experience leading technical implementations from architecture to production deployment. 
  • Delivered and supported mission-critical online services that are highly available and reliable
  • Servant leadership mindset and an ability to inspire and motivate others
  • Ability to work on a globally-distributed team with a high degree of ownership
  • Experience leading the delivery of multiple highly impactful products end to end, on time with a high quality bar
  • Experience working with technical and non-technical stakeholders, successfully aligning and setting expectations on scope and delivery
  • Experience navigating ambiguous and changing product requirements and successfully delivering a winning product
  • Proficiency in coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations. 
  • Experience integrating AI-based automation for improving code quality, predictive analytics, and data-driven decision-making. 


Desired

  • Familiarity with financial data sets and experience in working with or producing high-quality finance/fintech data from multiple sources
  • Knowledge of complex financial products
  • Technical expertise in designing and scaling data infrastructure and distributed systems architecture
  • Strong operational skills and the ability to balance speed and quality pragmatically
  • Experience working with a team located across multiple time zones

Tech stack = Python, .Net, Snowflake, PySpark, Azure Databricks, Snowflake, REST microservices, and real-time event-driven architectures using Kafka, Orkes, and Databricks.

The estimated base salary range for this position is $175,000-$205,000 + bonus & equity.
