Engineering Manager, Core UI

The Core UI team is responsible for the foundational systems that power the user experience across all of Lattice. This team sits at the intersection of design and engineering, owning the UI frameworks, design system components, and information architecture that ensure our products are cohesive, performant, and delightful to use.

As the Engineering Manager, you’ll lead a team working on high-impact projects like Global Search, Navigation Redesign, and next-gen design system components, while also driving long-term cross-product UX strategy. You’ll collaborate closely with product, design, and engineering partners across the company to shape the platform-wide experiences that every Lattice user touches.

You have 4+ years of experience directly managing software engineers. In this capacity, you have been responsible for guiding and coaching the development of your direct reports, providing performance feedback, hiring, and fostering a diverse, collaborative, and inclusive team culture.

• Track record of aligning technical work with organizational goals and driving impactful outcomes.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with an adjustable style to executives, engineers, and nontechnical staff.
• Ability to navigate complex discussions and build consensus across departments

• Preferably, you have professional experience with the technologies with which we work (Node.js, React, Flow, GraphQL, Postgres, Amazon Web Services).

• Translate company strategy into actionable team goals and objectives, aligning technical initiatives with organizational priorities.
• Manage, coach, and inspire a team of engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, learning, and growth.
• Mentor and coach engineers, promoting technical growth and aligning their development with team & company objectives.
• Bring a relentless passion for continuous improvement for both engineering craft and processes.
• You will ensure a delightful, reliable experience for Lattice customers around the globe while simultaneously enabling a rapid pace of development.
• You will work with your team, Product, and Design to build new customer-facing products, and improve upon existing ones.
• You will represent your team to the larger org. Ensure they receive public recognition for their success and take ownership of their failures.

The estimated annual cash salary for this role is $187,500 - $234,500. This position is also eligible for incentive stock options, subject to the terms of Lattice’s applicable plans.
