About Our Internship Program:

Throughout your internship, you will have regular events, weekly lunch and learn sessions, and receive customized training from our business units. This is a unique opportunity to gain valuable insights into supporting the needs of Stanley Black & Decker both in the US and abroad. The interns will gain first-hand exposure to Stanley Black & Decker and have the opportunity to build a cross-functional professional network. Interns are expected to adapt to change and demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, creativity, and confidence. Interns must be team-oriented and collaborative.

The Job:

During your internship, you will have the opportunity to support Engineering with key activities including:

  • Conduct new product development and improvement to existing products by working closely with product design team.

  • Perform quality and performance analysis through robotic and hands-on testing

  • Collaborate with sourcing teams to support projects with global team for qualification and launch products. 

  • Work alongside internal teams to continuously improve the product functions, performance, manufacturing process and cost reduction. 

You will have exposure to several areas of the Engineering at Stanley Black & Decker. You will work on a wide variety of tasks and projects with a cross-functional team of professionals, including Quality Team, R&D Testing Team and Design Teams.  You will have direct exposure to a manufacturing environment.

The Person:

The ideal Engineering intern candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • Be a rising junior or senior with a target graduation date of 2026 or 2027

  • Actively pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering

  • Maintains strong academic credentials.

  • Exemplifies Mechanical Design.

  • Successfully manages strong academics alongside extracurricular activities.

  • Skillful in least one 3D design software (Creo (Pro/E), CATIA etc).
