ABOUT THE JOB

The Engineering Change Coordinator will be responsible for championing the implementation of engineering changes in production. This individual will coordinate with procurement, inventory control, quality, and material handling to ensure that engineering changes are incorporated efficiently. In addition, this role will ensure inventory discrepancies are minimized by effectively managing the bill of materials of manufacturing orders. The goal of this position is to preserve the company’s ability to quickly innovate while also minimizing production downtime and obsolescence.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Champion the implementation of engineering changes from release to incorporation
  • Track and report the status of engineering change notifications and drive action from individuals on a cross functional team
  • Quarantine new parts and ensure that outgoing revisions are exhausted to minimize obsolescence
  • Coordinate with incoming inspection to cut over to new engineering drawings when parts are received
  • Time engineering changes in the ERP system and adjust cutover dates based on a changing supplier ship dates and a shifting production schedule
  • Ensure that interdependent changes break on the same manufacturing orders
  • Maintain accurate bills of material to minimize inventory discrepancies
  • Collaborate with finance to disposition obsolete material
  • Develop and document new processes into standard operating procedures (SOPs)
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 0-4 years bills of materials or inventory control experience in a manufacturing setting (aerospace, automotive, electronics, or medical industry preferred)
  • Project management experience with a history of track initiatives from inception to completion
  • Highly organized and with the ability to meet deadlines and drive action amongst a cross-functional group of individuals
  • Understanding of material requirements planning (MRP) and inventory control
  • Familiarity with materials management or production planning in ERP systems
  • Ability to catalogue new processes in standardized operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Strong communication skills with the focus on customers service and collaboration
  • Willing to work overtime under tight deadlines and multitask with little supervision
  • Must be a team player and maintain positive attitude
  • Reliable method of transportation ability to be present at manufacturing facility
  • Clean background check and able to acquire government clearance if required
  • Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export controlled information or facilities
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Engineering degree in mechanical, electrical or aerospace engineering
  • Ability to read engineering drawing and communicate specifications
  • Understanding of logistics and warehouse management
  • Experience working in new model launch or start up environments
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing, six sigma or the Toyota Production System (TPS)
  • Experience government property under the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)

US Salary Range
$64,000$96,900 USD

 

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full time offers; and are considered part of Anduril's total compensation package.
