The Digital Experience team, part of MassMutual's Enterprise Technology & Experience organization, designs, builds, and supports the company's digital assets for customers and financial professionals.

To help us achieve our mission, we are looking for experienced full stack developers, who will be key technology decision makers for an agile squad and endeavors to deliver high quality web applications to the cloud at scale. Candidates will aspire to have a balance of writing great code, coaching junior developers, and providing strong technical leadership for their group.
The Role and Your Impact
As a Technical Lead at MassMutual you will have the opportunity to:
Provide the technical vision for products, stay current of technical standards, and safeguard the integrity of the application environment
Architect and develop features for a suite of apps with the latest web and cloud technologies
Exemplify and encourage best software engineering practices within the team
Coach and contribute to the ongoing skill proficiency for developers on the squad and the organization
Play the role of Team Solution Architect with the assistance of the Enterprise Architecture and assistive teams
Provide estimates, and help to envision creative solutions to technical challenges
Drive toward the effective utilization of the latest technologies, partnering with business stakeholders across the team, as well as experts in other areas including data science to achieve goals and bring about creative solutions
Collaborate with other DX and ETX teams in an effort to identify dependencies and drive the delivery of projects and features
The Qualifications
An Ideal candidate for this role will have:
6+ years of proven delivery of publicly available Web applications;
Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to collaborate in an agile team environment with engineers, product owners, testers, business analysts and groups outside of the team
Expertise in front-end development using CSS, HTML, JavaScript frameworks and libraries; with solid experience in object-oriented and functional programming
Proficiency in React/Redux for front-end development, and Node.js or Java Spring for REST API development
Experience in RDBMS Databases such Postgres and NOSQL databases such as MongoDB
Expertise in GIT, its branching and merging strategies such as Gitflow and CI/CD technologies such as Jenkins and GitHub actions
Understanding of Behavior Driven Development and associated tools for testing
Experience in AWS technologies and Kubernetes with Docker;
Expertise in the latest architecture patterns including Clean Architecture, MVVM, SOLID and DRY principles
Bachelor's degree in fields including computer engineering, computer science, and/or information systems
