Who you are

You are a visionary tech-savvy engineering leader that thrives on building real-world applications that you and your friends could talk about for hours on end. You have a confidence that shines when managing large, complex technical challenges and are comfortable with driving best developmental practices across an engineering team. You gain excitement and energy from being the lead thinker on your team, helping continuously improve scalable and reliable products. You are someone who has the experience, instincts, and analytical mindset, all which leads up to your ability to make quality and timely technically sound decisions.

You would be described by others as an action-oriented individual; someone who loves to learn and is willing to take on any kind of new (or old) opportunity, continuously challenge yourself, the team, and anyone else around you with the goal of driving everlasting impressions and continuous growth. You have a healthy way of showing and maintaining a balanced sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm. It’s obvious to others that you’re passionate about system design and performance, playing a key part in powering customers with a great end-user experience. You thrive when it comes to adapting to environments, driving ownership of projects from the system designs, to the databases, as well as API’s.

Ideally, you have at least six years of experience building and developing performant, reliable & scalable web apps, platforms, databases, and services. We are an AWS house and your experience working with any cloud provider will go far here. You will be exposed to Ruby, Python, Go and a lot of Kafka! You have decomposed a monolith into microservices and also have deep experience with event driven architecture patterns. We would be really impressed if you had experience in eCommerce, payment systems, or the food and beverage technology space.

  • Align with engineering leaders and the engineering organization to raise the quality of products we ship
  • Instill processes are followed with consistency, by providing clarity and transparency through documentation and which could be used by all Engineering teams
