The Application Infrastructure team focuses on building technology that enables rapid user growth worldwide and accelerates product development across our entire software organization. The team manages the latest and greatest platforms encompassing application, system, and network level infrastructure. We aim to bring WHOOP to the highest level of performance and availability across the globe. We are looking for someone who can help us scale our infrastructure to the next level.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop applications to both serve customers and internal development teams
• Tackle challenges of scale across multiple systems including Postgresql, Kubernetes, Cassandra and Kafka
• Own and deliver applications and infrastructure from design through deployment delivering impact to our customers
• Shape and develop best practices for managing infrastructure at WHOOP
• Collaborate across software teams and product driving mission critical initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• You are an experienced engineer interested in scaling applications, infrastructure, and products world wide
• You are experienced in building applications that span multiple regions (preferably object oriented)
• You have knowledge of Kubernetes administration and docker containers
• You are experienced in working with distributed technologies such as Kafka or Cassandra
• You are experienced in working with AWS services and environments (EC2, RDS, Route53, VPC, etc)
• You are experienced in networking constructs at VPC level and container level
• Skillset to develop and mentor best practices around managing infrastructure
• You have enthusiasm for the latest and greatest tools and technologies to bring about speed and efficiency to product development

This role is based in the WHOOP office located in Boston, MA. The successful candidate must be prepared to relocate if necessary to work out of the Boston, MA office.
