The Platform provides the centralized User Interface and APIs to run highly-effective enterprise security programs.

We are hiring a Senior Director of Engineering to manage the Web Application team and drive an evolution from monolith to microservices, from data center to AWS, and from traditional deployment to DevOps. You will be responsible for establishing and implementing strategic direction while ensuring the operational quality of our current platform.

In this role you will report to the SVP of Engineering. You will work collaboratively with the VP of Architecture, Product Managers, User Experience and Engineering Directors. This is an exceptionally smart, fun, and energetic team, who love working for Veracode, as well as working with each other.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the engineering team designing, implementing and maintaining the Veracode Platform. The work is split across traditional J2EE Web and App components and an emerging set of microservices deployed to AWS. Designing a Data Model for the new platform is a key challenge.
• Drive the technology evolution strategy and lead the team as you execute the strategy. Facilitate the prioritization of business and product requirements, set timelines, and manage expectations for all deliverables and releases.  
• Provide clarity, process, and support for Veracode’s transition to DevOps from traditional development-with-operations. Lead by example and engage in operational monitoring, response, and issue resolution.
• Work with the VP of Architecture and team leads to define technology standards, processes and engineering metrics.
• Foster a vibrant, highly-effective culture that values trust, collaboration, and dedication to quality. Incorporate innovation, continuous learning, and mentoring to attract and retain top talent.

Skills and Requirements:

• At least 15 years technology experience in high-growth companies with at least 10 years in leadership positions.
• Having managed organization of 40+
• Having managed/implemented CI/CD and familiarity with various DevOps tools preferably in AWS environmewnt
• Change leader with the ability to build, engage, and motivate high performing teams.
• Strong strategic thinker who equally thrives in leading the execution: including bringing products to market, creating new technology and gaining efficiencies through operational initiatives.
• Experience leading an enterprise platform team supporting high uptime SaaS environments.
• Prior management of technology and process change, e.g. migration to cloud, architecture evolution, adoption of DevOps.
• Prior working experience developing cloud based applications with focus in Amazon Web Services (AWS), DevOps, MicroServices; CI/CD.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and influence technical and executive audiences.
• Experience adhering to an Agile development environment and iterative sprint cycle and continuous delivery into production
• Experience managing on-site, off-site and off-shore resources.
• MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
