The Software Engineering Manager / Tech Lead role at Mavrck will be responsible for evolving our market leader cloud based software platform. The role will be building and managing a small team while contributing to the platform codebase and architecture.

In this role, you'll get to:

• Serve as the technology thought leader, reporting to the Director of Engineering, and collaborate cross-functionally to achieve company goals
• Drive technical projects and provide leadership in an innovative and fast-paced environment
• Build and manage a team of software engineers, including task planning and code reviews 
• Contribute to the platform codebase and architecture
• Identify opportunities to evolve the technology and engineering process
• Mentor engineers from other teams and contribute to Learning & Development processes

To thrive in this role, you’ll bring the following qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience as a Software Engineer
• Advanced understanding of SDLC and modern software development and distribution approaches such as CI/CD, Cloud-native development, Infrastructure-as-Code.
• Strong experience in cloud computing (AWS / Google Cloud).
• Hands-on experience in design, development and delivery of highly scalable SaaS applications using modern frameworks and technologies (Kotlin/Java + JavaScript/TypeScript).
• Practical experience with microservice architecture and migration from monolithic approach.
• A passion to learn more and become a better engineer and people manager.
• A commitment to team goals and a willingness to do whatever it takes to get to the finish line.
• Strong people skills
• Experience in managing people but we consider first-time managers
