Software Engineering Manager

You’ll be leading a team that building a world class security solution, fighting on the front lines of the war on cyber crime. Our product defined a category of security solutions and is the market leader in Application Control. We deliver detection and prevention capabilities in real time, at scale. You’ll be leading a high performing, experienced team to provide a solution that ensures our customers’ assets are safe.

What You’ll Do

The Carbon Black Application Control team is looking for a results-oriented Engineering Manager. You will be responsible for leading one or more scrum teams that deliver software to meet and exceed the business objectives of the product team. This will involve close collaboration with partners in Product Management, our Architects and our customer community, as well as mentoring and growing the engineers reporting to you through career guidance, technical leadership and laser focus on both product quality and security efficacy.

What You’ll Bring

• Experience working pragmatically under deadlines with operational software
• Project management experience with Agile methodologies
• Experience mentoring software developers and growing their careers
• Knowledge of and experience with professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, unit & integration testing and operational health
• Experience collaborating with other technical teams, senior management and customers
• Ability to refine requirements and instill quality practices in the development process
• Ability to attract top talent and incorporate them into a highly functional and fun team
• Ability to effectively determine and manage priorities independently

Bonus Points:

• B.S./M.S. in Computer Science, related degree or equivalent experience
