Software Development Manager

About the Position….
We are seeking a Software Development Manager that can take our development teams to the next level by rolling out Agile and Scrum methodologies to applicable areas. In this role, you are expected to apply and adapt the project management principles to our software development environment and make the teams work more efficiently. The ideal candidate will bring their experiences, best practices, and a collaborative attitude to help drive project deliverables and increased effectiveness in value and quality of the software we create. To be successful in this position, you should be detail-oriented and self-motivated in order to follow through on projects of varied scope.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all stages of a project from feasibility research, planning, budgeting, development, testing, and release to ensure timely deliverables
- Ensure project/department milestones/goals are met and adhere to approved budgets
- Measure and track project performance using appropriate systems, techniques, and metrics
- Create and maintain comprehensive project and process documentation
- Make recommendations on process changes and conduct cost/benefit analysis of potential improvements
- Anticipate and manage risk on a project level in an ever-changing environment
- Instill and maintain a sense of professionalism and optimism

Required:
- 5+ years’ experience in managing software development teams and projects, or related areas as an individual contributor
- 1-3 years supervisory experience
- Significant experience working with Agile and Waterfall methodologies
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Extensive knowledge of department processes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
