Job Summary

Duties: Serve as a member of the Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) team with responsibility for designing and developing next generation cloud-based Speech Recognition Management system. Perform requirements capture, design, development, testing, and deployment. Perform programming in Java, and scripting using BASH and Python. Perform peer code and design reviews. Monitor and troubleshoot critical production issues. Maintain existing cloud-based ASR micro services. Keep current with technology and bring new ideas to solve complex ASR problems.

Requirements: Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology or a related field plus three (3) years of experience designing and developing Java and web-based high performance, high scalability, multi-threaded enterprise grade applications, or alternatively, a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology or a related field, plus five (5) years of experience designing and developing Java and web-based high performance, high scalability, multi-threaded enterprise grade applications. Candidate must also possess: Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) developing data-driven applications with SQL Server and utilizing NoSQL data stores (Cassandra or Hadoop); DE developing microservices using REST APIs within a Spring Boot framework using production grade Java 8; DE utilizing Docker and Marathon for cloud deployment and management; DE utilizing Bash, PowerShell, Python for coding and scripting; and DE working with distributed system In-Memory Computing Platform and/or Redis.
