We are looking for a Lead iOS Engineer to join our highly dynamic and collaborative user-facing member experience team. Our ideal candidate is passionate, creative, and curious about mobile technology. Candidates must have experience on the iOS platform, including Swift, Xcode, object-oriented design and architecture.

 What you’ll be doing

Translating user stories into software solutions

• Working closely with product managers and scrum masters to understand the business problems.
• Collaborating with designers to ensure we deliver the optimal user experience.
• Validating design approaches with other team members.
• Writing automated tests to ensure code is of the highest quality.

Delivering multi-year technology roadmaps

• Identifying process, tooling and feature improvements that can have a multiplicative effect on the engineering productivity.
• Identifying new capabilities that emergent technologies or processes can unlock. 
• Developing a multi-year roadmap for implementing technical and process improvements.
• Leading delivery of large technology improvements.

Mentoring Software Engineers

• Working closely with software engineers to guide their technical and career growth.

Debugging and fixing production issues

• Working with our customer support team to debug and fix bugs affecting our users.

Demonstrating Wellframe’s technical contributions

• Writing blog posts and giving talks at conferences to give back to the technical community.

Skills and experience

• A B.S. or M.S. degree in any science or engineering field.
• At least 5 years of native mobile iOS development experience, including publishing commercial apps.
• Strong knowledge of iOS custom native UIs, design principles, patterns and best practices.
• Deep familiarity with Swift, design patterns, and SOLID architecture.
• Ability to write code that is well structured, idiomatic, reusable, and easy to understand.
• Passion to benchmark and optimize, with a preference for writing clean, test-driven code.
