Job Summary

Summary:

Senior Manager, Software Engineering will lead the development of our cutting-edge PowerShare Diagnostic image sharing platform for Nuance Healthcare. Lead multiple teams to enhance and improve the PowerShare platform by providing innovative solutions to the problems. Using state-of-the-art cloud development technologies, enhance PowerShare platform to integrate seamlessly with other Nuance Healthcare Diagnostic platforms, like PowerScribe and AI Marketplace, for Radiologist productivity improvements.

 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead scrum teams in development of application software for Nuance Healthcare
  • Build, manage and lead team(s) that designs and delivers scalable, extensible complex distributed systems.
  • Evolve the existing system and architecture in various areas as needed
  • Join Diagnostics leadership team and closely collaborate with leaders & scrum teams across geographies to deliver excellent products
  • Work closely with product management to develop new products and features for the line of business.
  • Help developers resolve both technical problems as well as human resources issues.
  • Monitor individual employees’ performance.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to coach, motivate and lead team members to their optimum performance levels and career development.

 

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience

Minimum years of work experience:  12 Years

  

Required skills:

  • Ability to lead, organize, and manage projects beginning to end that require coordinated efforts across multiple functions.
  • Ability to operate and thrive in a fluid, ever changing environment. Proactive in approach with a focus on driving results and outcomes with multiple priorities and multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience leading and working closely with local and remote development teams.
  • 7+ years developing server-side or cloud solutions to support web and other client applications.
  • Deep knowledge of one or more cloud platform service like Azure.
  • Confident, self-motivated, with good communication skills and work independently with minimal supervision. 
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills in an IT environment.
  • Ability to multitask with proven tight deadline experience in a fast paced and dynamic environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Solid understanding of radiology workflows preferred.
  • Good knowledge in Health care software and familiar with medical terminologies preferred.
