You are a tech-savvy engineer that thrives on building things with real-world applications that you and your friends could talk about. Comfort with learning and adopting new technologies helps you keep your technical skills fresh, so you’re someone who’s comfortable experimenting until you find the tech that works. You manage complexity by approaching problems with curiosity to define issues before acting on solutions. You have the experience, instincts, and analytical mindset to make quality, timely decisions.

You are passionate about systems reliability, and how that affects our customers. You have worked in environments where you owned system design from the database to the API. You enjoy providing technical guidance to more junior team members. You are constantly looking for ways to improve the team's development practices. You ideally have 5 to 10 years of experience working within a cloud environment and with incident management. We write most of our core systems in Ruby, but we are flexible on your specific experience; we care more about general technical acumen than any specific tech. We would be really impressed if you had experience in eCommerce, payment systems, or the food and beverage technology space.

What the role is

In this Senior Engineer role, you will be an integral part of the infrastructure team, responsible for helping maintain and improve Drizly’s development and production environments. You will primarily be responsible for incident management and response, as well as troubleshooting and production alerts. In addition to securing Drizly’s infrastructure and customer data, you will help Drizly scale to meet future demands, and work collaboratively with stakeholders across various departments. Ultimately, you will impact developer happiness and efficiency through powerful developer tools and services.

In this role you will:

• Work to handle incident management and remediation response in a timely manner
• Have a direct hand in production troubleshooting and increasing the ownership of response across dev teams
• Collaborate with different stakeholders across a variety of teams, and act as a liaison and point of contact
• Provide mentorship and guidance to more junior team members
• Work heavily within Linux, AWS, and Bash/shell scripting

For Colorado-based roles: The salary/hourly rate range for this role is $129,000 per year - $151,800 per year. You will be eligible to participate in Drizly's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award, commissions, & other types of comp. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
