Perficient currently has a career opportunity for a Retail API Integration Architect for a remote position within the API Team.

Job Overview:

The Retail API Integration Architect provides technology direction, ensures project implementation compliance, and utilizes technology research to innovate, integrate, and manage technology solutions. As a Technology Architect, you will significantly contribute to identifying best-fit architectural solutions for one or more projects; you will collaborate with some of the best talent in the industry to create and implement innovative high quality solutions, participate in Sales and various pursuits focused on our clients' business needs. This role is considered part of the Business Unit Leadership team and may mentor Junior Architects and /or development team members.

• Provide architectural solutions/designs to project execution teams for implementation.
• Provide technology architectural assessments, strategies, and roadmaps for one or more technology domains.
• Work with application developers, users, operational leadership, and subject matter experts to understand current and future operational data analysis goals. Recommend modern technology stacks to meet those goals and help engineering teams migrate towards their use.
• Collaborate with the customer's operations and technology leadership on the future analytic goals of the organization and design a technical architecture to meet those goals. Participate in configuring the architecture and advise engineering teams on its efficient use.
• Lead a work stream or act as a team lead and manage non-complex components of the work plan/project.
• Utilize analytical, process, and/or technical skills to meet project objectives and deliverables that are self-directed and within project scope. 

• A total 10+ Years of Experience in IT with 3+ years as an Architect
• Retail experience is a plus
• 4 years as an expert in application containerization management.
• In-depth knowledge of best practices around developing microservices architectures, Dockers, the software containerization technology and platform.
• Experience in application development using a combination of the following: Java EE, Spring framework, Node.js, .Net Core, etc.
• Desired additional skills include:
  
  • OpenShift Container Environment 
  • Kubernetes Administration and Application deployment
  • Microservices development
  • NoSQL:PostgreSQL, MongoDB, CouchDB, etc.
  • Postgress, Graphana
  • EFK Log aggregation
  • Event driven architecture experience
• Strong debugging, problem solving and investigative skills. Ability to assimilate disparate information (log files, error messages etc.) and pursue leads to find root cause problems.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology.
• Self-starter who can work independently.
• Bachelor’s Degree in MIS, Computer Science, Math, Engineering or comparable major.
• Ability to apply technology and consulting to solve a client business problem
• Able to communicate and present complex issues with assurance and confidence
• Demonstrates the use of consulting skills including: questioning, listening, ideas development, permission and rapport, and influencing
• Ability to conduct/lead oral status/technical interchange meetings with clients on small to medium sized engagements
• The potential of up to 25% travel to Ohio after COVID restrictions are lifted. It is possible the position will remain 100% remote.
