QA Engineer
DUST Identity is a physical object security solution that uses nano-diamonds to securely tag physical objects so they are uniquely identifiable. The Job
We are looking for a highly qualified individual to take our Quality Assurance and Acceptance Testing to the next level. This individual will design, drive, and implement testing tools and practices to ensure that our products meet and exceed the requirements set by us and by our customers.
As part of the engineering team, you will collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and our user base, to understand and chart product changes, whether in code, in usage, or in the settings in which it is deployed, with the goal of tracing root causes, and assuring that issues have been addressed. Your goal should be for us to always be first to identify a fault rather than any of our users.
What we need you to do
- Take ownership over the QA process, and future proof it so that it scales along with our product line and customer base
- Evaluate, select, and implement tools that further the automation of our testing
- Develop, write, implement modular testing suits
- Define, implement optimized testing plans
- Establish testing documentation for internal and external audiences
- Plan, Execute, Oversee the testing schedule in order to meet delivery dates
- Short-notice-Smoke-test hotfix environments and configurations
- Analyze functional specifications in order to ready the test cases for it
- Plan and arrange the labor and equipment for testing
- Maintain a testing master plan across versions, devices, and environment so nothing is left untested
What You’ll Bring
- Highly organized mind, that could plan and keep track of very many moving parts
- 5+ years of experience coordinating complex testing efforts
- Experience managing QA teams
- Great ability to hunt down and reproduce reported bugs to help our engineers resolve it
- Good rapport with engineers and non-engineers alike, this is a real team effort
- Empathy for the customer whose voice you’d represent
- Degree either in SW engineering or computer engineering
- Familiarity with GitHub to track changes in the SW
- Tremendous ownership and accountability
Highly desired knowledge and skills
- Selenium tools (Web Browser automation)
- Robot Framework
- Python (writing GUI tests)
- Linux (for scripting) and Bash
- AWS for Bash (load testing)
- Basic level security testing
- Jenkins for running different test harnesses
