Jobcase is seeking a strong problem-solving Principal Software Engineer that will help develop our next generation of our software. Today, Jobcase hosts 150+ million registered members, 25+ million unique monthly visitors and Comscore ranks us as the 3rd largest online career resource.

What you’ll be doing here:

• Collaborate closely with a cross-functional team to influence what products we build, and own the technical solutions for building them
• Build software that enables a superlative customer experience with performance, security, scalability, and resilience as default characteristics
• Evolve our systems through solid architectural design and drive best practices
• Deeply understand our members and their needs to drive impactful solutions
• Mentor colleagues to grow their skills
• Continually assess, and evolve our technology

About you and your skills:

• 9+ years experience designing, building, and maintaining distributed web applications and services
• Fluency in one or more server-side programming languages (e.g. Java, C#, Python, Go)
• Experience working on high-scale systems that incorporate principles of lean software development and DevOps
• Strong understanding of contemporary best technology practices and design principles
• Comfort and fluency with data, as our teams leverage extensive data-driven testing and data-informed decision-making
• Low ego - an empathetic team member and collaborator who exemplifies the platinum rule
