Manager, Site Reliability Engineering (Remote)


We are looking for someone to lead our Site Reliability Engineering team at ASICS Digital. In this role you will lead a team that is building tools, training, and technologies to support a focus on delivery across our engineering teams. You will work closely with engineering, product, and global business stakeholders to shape the way that ASICS provides a consistent and delightful experience for our customers. You will own the technical direction of the Site Reliability Engineering team’s tools, our overall release engineering processes and helping everyone have the right release quality information at the right time. You will build high trust relationships with your team as you support their career development, the technical vision, and execution of the team. We expect you to have a strong technical foundation and to have worked on a variety of platforms, technologies and frameworks. ASICS Digital is a division of ASICS based in Boston, Massachusetts. Our goal is to build digital technologies to better connect the ASICS brand to its consumers. We are responsible for the continued development of the ASICS global eCommerce platforms, and supporting digital services that encourage people to move, get fit and stay balanced.


 

Responsibilities:

  • Secure and improve our AWS infrastructure (ECS, Control Tower, Lambda@Edge, CodeBuild/CodePipeline/CodeDeploy, etc).
  • Standardize and refine our Akamai deployment and configurations.
  • Manage our global redirects and traffic routing needs.
  • Continually support and monitor opportunities for improvement around developer productivity and release cadence.
  • Provide consistent and transparent reporting across all Pods and features for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Own the technical roadmap and evolution of quality engineering in coordination with engineering teams, product, and business stakeholders.
  • Develop the careers and technical capabilities of a team of local and remote engineers across multiple technical areas and platforms.
  • Grow the team’s capabilities to deliver on the changing needs of the global ASICS business. o Identify opportunities for improvement in engineering practices and software delivery.
  • Contribute to the technical leadership team and our shared values of creating a diverse, equitable and inclusive work community.
  • Build and maintain high trust relationships with global stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with regional eCommerce leadership, local project management, product management and vendors.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of engineering experience with at least 1+ years in a team lead or management role.
  • 1+ years of project management experience, especially in a global setting.
  • Demonstrated experience growing the careers and practices of a software development team.
  • Demonstrated experience leading projects on a global scale o Strong communication skills
