Perficient currently has a career opportunities for a Technical Consultants. This team's focus is delivering high-quality web applications as well as defining enterprise development practices. Craftsmanship, pride in ownership, and passion for excellence are core expectations.  The Technical Consultant builds world class software applications for some of the country’s largest companies utilizing top technologies including Java, Spring, Spring Boot, and PCF to implement popular software products while working in a collaborative environment.

• Designing, coding, and unit/integration testing using Perficient methodology
• Debugging and troubleshooting code related issues and defects
• Producing client deliverables such as detailed design documentation, unit test plans, and well-documented code
• Gaining an understanding of the unique business and technical requirements on each engagement to facilitate the most appropriate solution design
• Practicing strong configuration management and version control
• Representing Perficient professionally in both client and team situations
• Contributes to knowledge tools and communities, and ensures project learnings are documented and shared

• 2+ years of experience, strong core Java and J2EE skill
• 2+ years of Spring and REST/SOAP services experience
• 2+ years experience in Spring Boot and Microservices
• Good to have - experience in Cloud technologies like Pivotal, IBM Bluemix, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Familiar with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) methodologies
• Experience in Test Driven Development (TDD)
• Strong debugging, problem solving, and investigative skills with the ability to assimilate disparate information (log files, error messages, etc.) and pursue leads to find root cause problems
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology
• Able to communicate and present complex issues with assurance and confidence
• Possesses advanced level of business, technical, or functional knowledge
• Demonstrates the use of consulting skills including questioning, listening, idea development, permission and rapport, and influencing
