As a Front-End Engineer on Catalant’s marketing team, you’ll spearhead the evolution, iteration, and ongoing optimization of our main website, landing pages, and interactive customer-facing touchpoints at the intersection of engineering, marketing, design, and product. You’ll help design and drive the creation of world-class, compelling online experiences that attract, engage, and convert current and prospective customers. 

What you’ll do

• Design and drive the development of our primary customer-facing website and other customer-facing digital marketing experiences, working closely with a cross-functional team across Marketing, Design, Product, and Engineering
• Identify, troubleshoot, and drive implementation of technical search engine optimization improvements across our primary customer-facing website and landing pages
• Drive A/B testing and conversion optimization efforts across all customer-facing web properties
• Maintain and improve upon our primary customer website infrastructure — which currently includes WordPress, Visual Composer, and some custom HTML, CSS, and JavaScript — to improve scalability and speed 
• Promote Catalant’s visual brand across all customer-facing web assets, in partnership with our Marketing and Design teams
• Partner with Marketing Operations to recommend, evaluate, and technically implement new tools for marketing tracking and measurement and digital marketing
• Partner with Marketing Operations to enable the Marketing team to self-serve when making small changes or updates to the customer-facing web assets 

What you’ll bringMust-Haves:

• 3+ years of front-end engineering experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Direct experience building responsive, cross-browser compatible, accessible websites that utilize general web standards
• Strong design sense, with experience utilizing UI/UX best practices
• Design and development experience using Wordpress or similar Content Management Systems
• Design and development experience with A/B testing for conversion optimization with Optimizely or similar A/B testing tools
• Direct experience with advanced implementation of marketing tracking (for example, custom event tracking and cross-domain tracking) with tools like Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics
• Excellent project management and time management skills
• A self-starting and entrepreneurial work style

Nice-to-haves:

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher)
• Experience with Visual Composer within Wordpress
• Experience working with Marketo, Eloqua or other similar marketing automation systems
• Experience designing and building HTML emails and testing with cross-client compatibility
