- We are currently seeking a Perception Engineer with a background in facial recognition to perform novel experiments on unmanned aerial systems (UAS) and human users.
Specific Responsibilities: Work side-by-side with world class researchers to create cool and innovative autonomy-related products and tools. Perform independent and team research and development involving architecting, coding, simulation, and integration of control system components for enabling flight vehicle autonomy, control, and estimation, as well as detection and tracking of human facial motions. Develop algorithms for vision-based localization and mapping, facial motion capture and tracking. Integrate hardware, firmware, and software such as cameras, lasers, LEDs, IMUs on an embedded hardware platform such as Nvidia Tegra/Jetson or Intel NUC Document and present results.
Minimum Requirements: BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other applicable field with 0-3 years of experience Demonstrated experience in optical systems hardware and computer vision software is required Experience with C/C++ in Linux and parallel programming on GPGPU using OpenCL or CUDA Experience integrating systems on embedded hardware such as NVidia Tegra/Jetson or Intel NUC Experience developing algorithms to track facial features with COTS motion tracking sensors such as Intel RealSense, Microsoft Kinect Experience with OpenCV, MATLAB, Ubuntu/CentOS, and git Excellent writing and presentation skills are essential Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident
