Why You Should Join the Information Architecture Team:
As an Engineering Manager joining the Information Architecture team you can expect to be deeply involved in technical discussions on how we scale our systems, roll out new features, and grow the team.
As an Engineering Manager, you will have ownership of the team’s mission, goals, and roadmap while collaborating alongside technical product owners and product managers. Together, you'll define scope and specifications while refining RFCs to ensure deliverables are met and stability is maintained.
The Information Architecture team is the owner of Klaviyo’s Navigation and Settings user interfaces, as well as the Tag Service, an external microservice responsible for handling tagging (labeling) information for objects created with Klaviyo, which includes an upcoming developer-facing API.
Using Typescript, React, Python, AWS, Kubernetes, and Django you'll help craft scalable systems enabling delightful customer experiences and enable Klaviyo’s future growth.
For some context on what we’ve done this year and looking forward:
Since its founding in early 2022, the Information Architecture team has delivered impactful projects including rebuilding Klaviyo’s core navigation UI from the ground up, a large cross-functional project that has been shipped to all customers, with positive qualitative and quantitative feedback.
Additionally, the team took ownership of Klaviyo’s Tag Service, building multiple operational improvements and support for new functionality, as well as preparing a new developer-facing API for tags that is shipping to developers in Q4 2022.
Looking forward, the team is developing plans to work on more core areas within Klaviyo, like notifications, improving search, and redesigning the settings area.
