SUMMARY

Nexamp is seeking an experienced software developer interested in working across a range of technologies, including C# and Ruby in a mixed shop with both .NET and Ruby back ends.  Develop and maintain APIs for both internal and external web systems integrated with major sales, construction management, and accounting services.  Duties and responsibilities include vetting and implementing API designs; C# and Ruby coding; working with Azure and GitHub based tool chains; writing and executing tests; deployment and working with customer facing support team.  Candidates will be given an opportunity to demonstrate development skills during interviewing. While this is a position in a new and growing development team, you will be in a group with 45 years of software development and leadership experience.

Position is in our Boston, MA office. Requires annual overnight travel of less than 5%.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Review and refine design proposals.
• Implement design and logic for interfaces delivered over web technologies.
• Maintain coding standards across multiple projects
• Diagnose, debug and correct defects
• Document implementations

QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate must be enthusiastic, self-motivated, hands-on, results-oriented, and a team player. Key qualifications are as follows:

• 3-5 years of software development experience
• 3rd party API integration experience, particularly Salesforce and NetSuite
• Experience in other modern web languages and environments is helpful
• HTML/CSS/JavaScript familiarity and debugging skills
• Software Development in C# and Ruby
• Experience in Azure / VSS
• Experience with GitHub, rake, and Ruby virtual environments
• Flow and component Diagramming
• Excellent written and spoken English communications skills
