To help us achieve our mission, we are hiring team-oriented AWS Cloud Engineer at all levels to help us take our customer and financial professional experiences to the next level.

The Role and Your Impact

Our ideal engineer should have a strong background with cloud technologies, software architecture as well as modern Infrastructure As Code deployment patterns and methodology. The candidate will have the opportunity to develop and innovate our Voice Technology and help shape the Voice Experience strategy. Typical work will include designing new features, creating APIs to enable voice capabilities for other teams and integrating with legacy IVR technologies currently in use. The successful candidate will be comfortable architecting complex systems, executing on those designs and have a passion for creating industry-leading conversational experiences for our customers.

You have an exhibited track record and deep familiarity with production-ready code in Node.js & React, and strong analytical skills. While this role will provide a motivated candidate with ample opportunity to learn & up-skill, existing familiarity with the AWS ecosystem is desired. Our team leverages a wide range of AWS services, including serverless Lambda functions and API Gateway to keep us on the cutting edge and help us scale.

To drive toward the effective utilization of the latest technologies, partnering with business stakeholders across the team, as well as experts in other areas to achieve these goals
Own all aspects of a product's technical implementation, and can advise, mentor, and coach other developers and/or consumers of the product
Writing production-ready code with fluency in modern front-end JavaScript frameworks
Building responsive web applications in Node.js, React, deployed in Docker containers on the Amazon Cloud
Writing RESTful APIs and backend microservices
Architecting applications leveraging virtualization, elastic computing and serverless technologies
Deploying applications using modern Infrastructure As Code methodologies
A skilled storyteller, capable of advocating and evangelizing for your product to internal and external customers
Learning new emerging technologies and take initiative to offer technical direction and creative solutions

The Qualifications

Experience building and deploying cloud-based platforms, such as Amazon Web Services, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
Experience building and deploying modular, scalable APIs that support either mobile, browser, or batch processes
Bachelor's and/or Masters degree in CE, CS, EE, ME MIS
Expertise in one or more programming languages, ideally a deep knowledge of Javascript
Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work in a rapid and iterative development environment
An ideal candidate will have experience with Infrastructure As Code tools, in particular Terraform/CDK
