The Monetization Team at WHOOP is responsible for increasing the lifetime value of each WHOOP customer by increasing retention and giving customers tools to manage their memberships. We take a very data-driven approach to everything we do, meaning we frequently measure the performance of our features and make iterations based on those results.

As a member of the Monetization team, you will contribute to software features focused on increasing customer lifetime value via various initiatives including churn prevention, reactivation, pricing strategy, upsells, and upgrades. You will contribute towards the technical direction and influence features alongside your peers and product management. You will make extensive use of A/B testing and other analytic techniques to help collect data that will drive product decisions and deliver business value.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Build software that allows users to maximize the value of their WHOOP subscriptions
• Build software flows that enable users to share/purchase WHOOP for others
• Contribute to a unified e-commerce ecosystem where users can discover WHOOP products
• Work collaboratively in a business growth environment with a product and technical vision
• Establish and analyze user metrics and feedback to help set the direction of the Growth team
• Contribute to the Android application with the opportunity to set best practices and increase usability for users and developers alike
• Communicate effectively with immediate and external team members
• Present solutions and frameworks for the betterment of the team to other software teams

QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in building, testing, debugging, and delivering Android apps in a professional environment
• Experience in UI design and development within Android using MVVM
• Experience communicating with a RESTful backend
• Some familiarity with SQLite
• Product minded engineer with empathy for the customer experience
• A high degree of ownership for the features you build and ship to customers
• Willingness to learn and grow rapidly across Android and external systems
• (Nice to have) Knowledge of payment processing and/or e-commerce integrations such as Stripe and Shopify
