Shipt, Inc. seeks a full-time Engineer. The primary duty of the Engineer is to own the production environment and build tools that improve the core systems of Shipt’s microservice infrastructure. This position requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Computer Engineering and 4 years of experience utilizing cloud architecture (including AWS and GCP) to implement virtualization, networking, databases, and message queuing. Must also have 24 months of experience with each of the following: (1) utilizing containerization and orchestration technologies to deploy and manage microservices architectures; (2) working on Kubernetes Networking concepts including service mesh, HA Proxy, KubeProxy and Container Network Interface (CNI) plugins; (3) supporting Datastore including Postgres, Redis and build, migrate, and support databases; (4) working with PCI-DSS compliant environments, including managing PCI workloads and ensuring adherence to PCI security standards; and (5) utilizing the following tools and technologies: Docker, Python, Go, Kubernetes, Ansible, Puppet, Splunk, Grafana, Dynatrace, and Chef.
