Position Summary:

We have an exciting opportunity at our Billerica, MA site for an Application Engineer. The Applications Engineer will apply his/her knowledge to solve technical problems related to filtration/purification of photolithography materials. This role requires close collaboration with internal technical teams to support new product development by developing new testing methods while working with customers by executing existing product testing.

Success will be measured by improved applications know-how and enhanced customer satisfaction. Effective communication is essential. Additionally, the role involves building a deep understanding of technology roadmaps, as well as fostering strong relationships with customers and functional partners such as product management and field application.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with strategic leading-edge semiconductor and chemical manufacturers to develop DOE that can show the capability of Entegris products.

• Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure product requirements are realized through specific application testing and method development.

• Provide technical support for liquid filtration/purification of photolithography materials and applications.

• Support RD team to develop new filtration and purification products. Conduct application tests to validate performance at each stage.

• Work with R&D, Engineering and Product Managers to generate detailed reports, data packages and technical papers for new products.

• Support other organizations to provide the understanding, requirements, and role of Entegris products in the applications.

• Champion Entegris technology leadership by participating in conferences and publishing technical papers.

Qualifications and Preferred Skills:

• Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD degree in related technical disciplines (Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science) is required;

• Knowledge of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering principles (fluid flow, mass transfer and heat transfer) is desired;

• Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills are desired;

• Ability to convey ideas and conclusions clearly with data is a must;

• Experience in semiconductor industry, specifically in photolithography-related area is a plus;

• Knowledge of filtration and associated equipment is a plus;

• Some travel (domestic & international) should be expected.

• Compensation: $80,000- $90,000 per year with actual pay dependent on candidate overall skills for the role
