Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Analyze and simulate electrical circuits using Multisim.
Design electrical circuits and PCBs using Altium Designer
Test and troubleshoot electrical circuits by using common test equipment such as power supplies, signal generators, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers and network analyzer
Build prototype electrical circuits by using basic soldering skills and basic project management skills
Write technical documentation such as specifications and test reports to support project deliverables
Responsible for complying with the security requirements set forth by the Information Security team and the established ISO 27001 Security Roles, Responsibilities, and Authorities Document found in the ISMS Document Library
Comply with health and safety guidelines and rules; managers should also ensure compliance across their teams.
Protect Chamberlain Group’s reputation by keeping information confidential.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reading professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
Education/Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
An advanced degree in a directly applicable area of study may substitute for work related experience
Experience:
Relevant work experience or Electrical engineering internship (~0.5 years)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge typically acquired through some on-the-job training
Works under direction and typically follows protocols
Asks effective questions and solicits feedback to understand needs
Other:
Able to travel up to 10% - domestically and internationally
Preferred Qualifications
Education/Certifications:
Six Sigma Black Belt certification; or commitment to obtain certification within two (2) years of date of hire or promotion.
Experience:
Intern or co-op experience in electrical engineering
Experience with electrical components, switch mode power supplies, power management circuits, motor control circuits, analog circuits, and RF impedance matching
Experience with wireless communication standards like Wi-Fi or Bluetooth
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to work within cross functional teams to create electro-mechanical products; strong analytical skills; effective communication skills; ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Analyze and simulate RF circuits and structures by using Ansys HFSS.
