We are seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Engineer to design and develop precision
electro-mechanical systems for semiconductor automated test equipment platforms. This role is
primarily an individual contributor position with strong growth potential into technical
leadership or people management.
The successful candidate will contribute directly to product development while building
capability in system architecture, cross-functional collaboration, and technical mentorship.
Key Responsibilities
Product Design & Development
Design precision electro-mechanical assemblies including motion mechanisms, structural
components, and thermal management solutions.
Develop 3D CAD models, detailed drawings, tolerance analyses, and Bills of Materials.
Support system integration, verification, and qualification testing.
Participate in design reviews and implement feedback into production-ready designs.
Apply DFM/DFA principles to support scalable manufacturing.
System Performance & Analysis
Perform structural and thermal analysis using FEA and CFD tools.
Support airflow management and thermal performance validation.
Investigate failures and implement corrective design actions.
Test Cell & System Integration
Support mechanical integration and operation of semiconductor test cells including tester
interfaces, device handlers, and manipulators.
Collaborate with electrical, software, and applications teams to ensure system-level
performance.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work with Manufacturing and Supply Chain on vendor selection, part qualification, and
cost optimization.
Support NPI builds and production ramp activities.
Document designs and engineering changes using standard processes.
Growth & Leadership Development
Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers.
Lead small design efforts or subsystem development as experience grows.
Build capability toward technical or organizational leadership responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
BS in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred).
10 years of experience designing electro-mechanical systems or capital equipment.
Strong hands-on mechanical design experience with precision assemblies.
Proficiency with 3D CAD and GD&T.
Experience with FEA and/or CFD analysis tools.
Understanding of mechanical integration in complex systems.
experience with PCB design, EMN creation, Production Interface experience, FEA,
Thermal management experience, DFM, interconnect systems design
Experience supporting products through development and production.
Someone who understands SolidWorks, Agile, Oracle, and Creo, and works with others
for concepts and best design practices for packaging and system integration
Experience with electromechanical applications experience in the industry
Preferred Experience
