The simple task of buying software, services, or tools at work has become hopelessly complicated at even the most innovative companies in the world. Today, enterprises spend $120T+ per year globally (>30 times larger than annual consumer e-commerce spend) and rely on vendors more than ever before to run their businesses.

Our cofounders started Zip in 2020 to address this seemingly intractable problem with a purpose-built procurement platform that provides a simple, consumer-grade user experience. Within the last 4 years, Zip has created a new category and developed the leading solution in this $50B+ TAM space. Today, the world’s leading companies like OpenAI, Snowflake, Anthropic, Coinbase, and Prudential rely on Zip to manage billions of dollars in spend.

We have a world-class team coming from category-defining companies like Airbnb, Meta, Stripe, Salesforce, Apple, and Google. With a $2.2 billion valuation and $370 million in funding from Y Combinator, Tiger Global, BOND, DST Global, and CRV, we’re focused on developing cutting-edge technology, expanding into new global markets, and—above all–driving incredible value for our customers. Join us!

Working closely with cross-functional teams—including Content, Design, Brand Marketing, Product Marketing, and Sales— this role will oversee the management, design, and execution of prospect and customer-facing email marketing campaigns in Adobe Marketo. Using email best practices and implementing A/B testing, you will optimize response rates, click rates, and conversions while striving to create best-in-class email experiences.

  • Collaborate across teams to align email content with business goals and customer needs

  • Monitor campaign performance and provide actionable insights to enhance engagement and effectiveness

  • Support segmentation strategies and personalize messaging based on audience, personas, and buyer funnel stage

  • Support A/B testing initiatives—across subject lines, layouts, timing, and creative—to optimize performance

  • Stay current on email marketing trends, tools, and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, CAN-SPAM)

Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in email or lifecycle marketing, with a strong grasp of end-to-end campaign management

  • Background in B2B or SaaS/tech marketing preferred

  • Proficiency with Marketo and Salesforce; CRM and email marketing expertise required

  • Proven ability to segment audiences and tailor messaging to drive conversions

  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple campaigns

  • Analytical mindset with experience running A/B tests and translating results into strategic improvements

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

We're looking to hire Zipsters and that means hiring people who take ownership, communicate openly, have an underdog mindset, and are excited to increase the pace of innovation for every business in the world. We encourage all candidates to apply even if your experience doesn't exactly match up to our job description. We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive workspace where everyone (regardless of age, religion, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, and more) feels like they belong. We look forward to hearing from you!

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
