The Email Marketing Operations Manager will execute and optimize email campaigns, manage templates, ensure deliverability, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Role Description
As part of the Lifecycle Marketing team, the Email Marketing Operations Manager will be responsible for executing and optimizing email campaigns that drive engagement and performance. This role focuses on campaign builds, QA, audience targeting, deliverability monitoring, and reporting using our enterprise ESP, Iterable.
The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, a solutions-driven mindset, and deep experience in email operations. You’re energized by solving complex challenges, ensuring data quality and deliverability, and partnering with teams across the business to drive results.
Responsibilities- Campaign Strategy & Design: Partner with the Lifecycle Marketing team to advise on email campaign structure and translate strategy into scalable, automated programs that drive engagement and results.
- Email Marketing Execution: Build, test, and launch email campaigns in Iterable, ensuring accurate segmentation, targeting, and high-quality execution.
- Template Management: Develop and maintain reusable templates and modular components in Iterable to support efficient and consistent campaign builds.
- QA & Troubleshooting: Own the QA process across all campaigns and troubleshoot technical issues to ensure flawless delivery and strong performance.
- Deliverability & Compliance: Monitor inbox placement, list hygiene, and domain health while ensuring compliance with regulations such as GDPR, CAN-SPAM, and CASL.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with stakeholders across marketing, sales, and analytics to align on campaign goals, share performance insights, and drive continuous improvement.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in email marketing operations, including 3+ years of hands-on experience using Iterable as the primary enterprise ESP
- Deep knowledge of email marketing best practices, segmentation strategies, and deliverability optimization
- Proven ability to work independently in Iterable, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
- Familiarity with basic HTML or scripting for email customization and troubleshooting
- Solid understanding of compliance and privacy regulations, including CAN-SPAM, GDPR, and CASL
- Strong project management and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Experience working with a Customer Data Platform (CDP) such as Hightouch or Segment is highly regarded
