Electronic Combat Solutions (ECS) has technology, engineering and program teams that educate and mentor colleagues to deliver leading Electronic Warfare capabilities. We welcome all those who have big ideas, crave innovation, want to drive fielding velocity, and have the passion to bring the warfighter home safe.
ECS is looking for a Technical Director to develop and drive technical strategy aligned with emerging customer needs. These needs span beyond ECS and impact other business areas and the ES Sector requiring cross-business collaboration to be successful. As Tech director you will:
  • Lead new product development of next generation RFEW technologies
  • Define and lead the implementation of advanced threat detection, classification, and response technologies in the RFEW domain - including but not limited to cognitive and adaptive techniques
  • Develop and own technical road maps integrating current programs with R&D programs to provide holistic technical direction
  • Collaborate with our R&D organization to facilitate the transition of game-changing RF technology
  • Collaborate across business areas and sectors to grow the business
  • Build relationships with government partners, in particular Navy partners, to establish and grow RFEW opportunities
  • Develop technical white papers and presentations internally and externally
  • Lead technical discussions with current and potential customers driving business growth

Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Bachelor's Degree and 12+ years of experience or the equivalent.
  • Experience collaborating with government and prime contractor acquisition offices and warfighters to develop RF electronic warfare technology solutions to address their missions
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across business boundaries to maximize enterprise synergy, leverage, and growth
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and communicate a technical vision to customers, business leadership, and team members
  • Experience with all aspects of the new business capture process
  • Strong understanding of ECS missions, technologies, and customers
  • Active Top Secret clearance

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Experience developing product and/or technology roadmaps to capture future technology needs
  • Experience with research and development programs and technology transition
  • Experience in Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations
  • Top Secret / SCI clearance

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $169630 - $288370
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
