Roles and Responsibilities
You & your team are responsible for:
Pricing Strategy and Deal Modeling
- Build and own deal models and price-to-win analyses for electrical power products, systems, and services
- Develop pricing structures (FAR compliant, T&M, firm-fixed, incentive, performance-based) aligned to customer needs and business targets
- Challenge and validate inputs from Engineering, Programs, and Sourcing to ensure accurate BOM, labor, test, tooling, warranty, and NRE assumptions
Risk and Opportunity Management
- Lead formal risk assessments (technical, schedule, commercial, regulatory) with quantified impacts and mitigations
- Ensure a living risk/opportunity register exists for each deal; incorporate scenario modeling and sensitivity analysis
- Drive risk-based pricing, coverage terms, and contingency recommendations; ensure compliance with internal policy and applicable regulations
Proposal Leadership and Governance
- Run the pricing workstream for RFPs/RFQs from kickoff through submittal and BAFO, ensuring complete, timely, and traceable deliverables
- Prepare and present pricing and risk packages for deal reviews and approvals (including leadership tollgates)
- Ensure alignment of scope, assumptions, T&Cs, and deliverables; understand redlines in partnership with Contracts/Legal
Analytics and Continuous Improvement
- Develop and maintain parametric models, benchmarks, and pricing databases for Electrical Power offerings
- Drive lessons learned, standard work, and automation to reduce cycle time and improve quote quality
- Track win/loss and margin performance to refine price-to-win and risk posture
Stakeholder and Customer Engagement
- Serve as the commercial point for pricing and risk clarifications with customers and partners
- Collaborate with capture leads on discriminators, value propositions, and competitive insights
- Support negotiations with clear fact packs, trade-space options, and quantified concessions
- Impacts the team's ability to achieve service, quality and timeliness of objectives. Work is subject to functional policy objectives. Regularly advises management and has a supportive role in decision making about important subjects. High levels of evaluative judgment are required to achieve outcomes required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Economics, or related field; advanced degree or MBA preferred
- 6+ years in pricing (Government / Commercial), cost engineering, program finance, proposal management, or commercial roles within aerospace/defense or complex industrial
Desired Characteristics
- Demonstrated experience building complex models and leading risk assessments on multi-million to multi-hundred-million proposals
- Strong knowledge of pricing structures, T&Cs, and commercial risk levers; experience supporting negotiations
- Proficiency with financial modeling and analytics tools (e.g., Excel); familiarity with parametric modeling
- Excellent communication and executive presence; able to distill complex analyses into clear recommendations
- Proven ability to operate in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments across cross-functional teams
- Electrical power systems or avionics domain familiarity (generation, conversion, distribution, power quality, reliability)
- Understanding of government/commercial acquisition processes; experience with export controls and compliance considerations
- Experience implementing standard work, continuous improvement, and automation in pricing/proposal processes
- Strong stakeholder management and influence skills; calm under pressure with a bias for action
The base pay range for this position is 137,000.00 - 183,000.00 USD Annual. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary. This posting is expected to close on 2/16/2026.
