General Summary/Overview Statement:
The mission of the MGB’s Office of Clinical Research (OCR) is to increase the quantity, quality, and efficiency of clinical research at MGB. The MGB OCR nurtures and empowers the next generation of clinical research investigators and study staff by providing educational courses, guidance, and resources to the MGB clinical research community. Faculty-led consultation services and the project management support service core advise and provide logistical support to clinical research teams.
The Center for Clinical Research Education (CCRE) in the Office of Clinical Research (OCR) at Mass General Brigham (MGB) offers over 200 live and online courses annually with approximately 6,000+ participants. The CCRE is a well-regarded asset to MGB’s clinical and translational research community.
Preferred Experience
At least 1-2 years of experience in training or developing clinical research educational courses.
Experience in clinical research as a research coordinator, research associate or project manager.


 

Job Summary

Summary
Provide administrative oversight and support for a program (Ex, residency programs, clinical fellow programs, and clinical research). Work with leadership to ensure educational goals are met. Participate in the development of a strategic plan for the educational program in the department. Oversee hiring, training, and supervision of the office educational support staff.

Essential Functions
-Provide support and oversight to plan, develop, and deliver innovative, high-quality education research.
-Lead team to strategize and set benchmarks and goals for the education programs.
-Track, report, and ensure compliance for education programs.
-Develop long-term strategies for additional education program improvement and opportunities.
-Provide guidance on training program requirements.
-Prioritize tasks for support staff, including management of special projects pertaining to the educational programs.
-Organizes webinars, workshops, seminars, and conferences related to education.


 

Qualifications

Education High School Diploma or Equivalent required or Bachelor's Degree Related Field of Study preferred Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No Licenses and Credentials Experience Experience in the administration of education programs 3-5 years required and Experience in instructional design, curriculum development, or adult learning theory 2-3 years preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Proficient organizational skills. - Excellent oral and written communication skills. - The ability to supervise and prioritize tasks for support staff. - An understanding of database management and the use of spreadsheets, manipulation and reporting of data. - Ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion in complex and often highly sensitive situations. - Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines within a demanding and fast-paced environment.
