About Us

At LangChain, our mission is to make intelligent agents ubiquitous. We build the foundation for agent engineering in the real world, helping developers move from prototypes to production-ready AI agents that teams can rely on. We began as widely adopted open-source tools and have grown to also offer a platform for building, evaluating, deploying, and operating agents at scale.

With $125M raised at Series B from IVP, Sequoia, Benchmark, CapitalG, and Sapphire Ventures, we’re at a stage where we’re continuing to develop new products, growth is accelerating, and all team members have meaningful impact on what we build and how we work together. LangChain is a place where your contributions can shape how this technology shows up in the real world.

Today, LangChain, LangGraph, LangSmith, and Fleet are used by teams shipping real AI products across startups and large enterprises. Millions of developers trust LangChain to power AI teams at companies like Replit, Clay, Coinbase, Workday, Lyft, Cloudflare, Harvey, Rippling, Vanta, and 35% of the Fortune 500.

About The Role:

LangChain is looking for an Education Engineer to help developers and agent builders learn how to build with LangChain, LangGraph, and LangSmith. In this role, you’ll turn cutting-edge applied AI work into accessible, engaging educational content including hands-on live workshops and meetups to online courses and recorded video tutorials.

You will collaborate with our Applied AI and software engineering teams to create high-quality learning experiences that explain core concepts in Agentic AI, walk through real-world examples, and help external developers succeed with our tools. This is a hybrid role that blends technical software experience with a passion for education, community building, and communication.

*This role is based in our San Francisco, New York, or Boston office. Employees within commuting distance work from the office five days per week. Candidates who live outside commuting distance (e.g. >1hr each way), may be eligible for hybrid arrangements depending on location and role requirements.

What You Will Do:

  • Partner with LangChain engineers to develop educational content that teaches generative AI and agent-building concepts using LangChain, LangGraph, and LangSmith.

  • Design curriculum and learning paths for our community of over 1 million developers and agent builders.

  • Create and deliver content across multiple formats:

    • Online courses for LangChain Academy, video tutorials and webinars

    • Live presentations at workshops, hackathons, meetups, and conferences

  • Build and maintain example projects, code demos, and visuals to support educational content.

  • Translate experimental applied AI code and internal agent templates into crisp, developer-friendly learning materials.

What You Will Bring:

  • A technical background in software development, ML, or applied AI—comfortable building small apps or code samples.

  • An experienced software engineer or equivalent technical knowledge who enjoys and excels at making technical concepts understandable to different audiences.

  • Previous experience developing online asynchronous curriculum in the areas of software engineering, GenAI, AI, machine learning, data science, robotics, or similar.

  • Strong working knowledge of generative AI concepts, agents, and prompt engineering.

  • A clear, engaging communication style—both written and on camera.

  • Experience designing and teaching technical content for developers (courses, workshops, or technical onboarding).

  • A degree in Math, Data Science, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical field

  • Familiarity with LangChain or other LLM frameworks/tools is a strong plus.

    Compensation:

    Annual salary range: $160,000-$190,000

Compensation Philosophy:

We offer competitive compensation that includes base salary, variable compensation for relevant roles, meaningful equity, benefits, and perks. Actual compensation and offerings will vary based on role, level, and location. Team members in the EU, UK, and APAC receive locally competitive benefits aligned with regional norms and regulations.

Benefits

Benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, flexible vacation, a 401(k) plan, meals on in-office days in the US and more.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
