Your Impact:
You will help create the resources that allow students and educators to succeed with Onshape. This includes model sets to showcase Onshape's features, tutorials and curriculum in the Onshape Learning Center, and partnership-focused materials for organizations like FIRST and Science Olympiad.
Your Team:
The Education Team at PTC is made up of engineering, sales, and marketing professionals who support students, educators, and schools worldwide by providing software and learning resources. We have a rapidly growing user base with a diverse set of needs, ranging from curriculum to speed-modeling competition models. In developing our product and enablement materials, we strive always to put the customer first.
Your Day-to-Day:
- Create demo model sets for curriculum, technical services, and marketing
- Create model sets for use in the Engineering CAD Event for Science Olympiad
- Create video and written tutorials about using Onshape
- Update existing curriculum content to reflect product updates and best practices
- Write articles for the Onshape website about student teams and events
Basic Qualifications:
- Pursuing a degree in Engineering, Instructional Design, or Engineering Education
- Proficiency in Onshape is required — candidates must have hands-on experience using Onshape for modeling, documentation, or instructional purposes
Preferred Experience/Skills:
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Strong technical writing skills
- Experience with teaching or mentoring in an engineering setting
- Experience as a participant on a FIRST, Science Olympiad, or SAE team
