The East Region Leader - National Accounts is a key leadership position responsible for driving profitable growth and delivering exceptional client experiences for employer groups with more than 5,000 lives within New York Life Group Benefit Solutions (NYL GBS).
Reporting to the National Accounts Segment Leader, this role leads a team of Account Executives who manage and grow relationships with some of the nation's largest employers. The Region Leader sets the strategic direction for the East Region, focusing on client retention, expansion of existing relationships, and strong execution across life, disability, absence, accident, and voluntary benefit solutions.

Salary Range: $400,000 + (base salary + sales incentive)

Discretionary bonus eligible: No

Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual's experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.

- Team Leadership: Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of Account Executives responsible for managing and expanding large employer relationships.
- Strategic Growth: Define and execute a regional strategy focused on client retention, upsell, and cross-solution opportunities across the NYL GBS portfolio.
- Client Engagement: Ensure consistent, consultative engagement with key decision-makers, brokers, and consultants to deliver superior service and measurable value.
- Collaboration & Execution: Partner across underwriting, claims, product, and service teams to deliver integrated client solutions that drive satisfaction and profitability.
- Performance Management: Establish clear goals and accountability for revenue, persistency, and margin performance within the East Region.
- Change Leadership: Champion transformation by aligning teams and processes to evolving client needs, business priorities, and market dynamics.
- Market Presence: Serve as a senior representative of NYL GBS in the marketplace - attending key industry events, client forums, and consultant meetings.

- Demonstrated success leading Account Executive teams within group benefits, insurance, or financial services.
- Proven ability to drive profitable growth through retention and expansion of existing clients.
- Deep knowledge of the large employer market (5,000+ lives) and strong relationships with brokers and consultants.
- Strategic and innovative thinker with a track record of managing through change.
- Exceptional communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or relevant professional certifications preferred.
