Job Purpose:
We are seeking a Techno-Functional Eagle Business Systems Analyst (BSA) to help develop technology solutions that address business needs, particularly in portfolio accounting, data integrity, and performance reporting. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the Eagle suite of products, financial services industry requirements, and a strong technical background in SQL and systems development lifecycle (SDLC). The BSA will play a key role in gathering business requirements, converting them into functional specifications, and ensuring the successful implementation of technology solutions.
Requirements
- Perform business analysis to identify and define business requirements for stakeholders in Portfolio Accounting, Data Integrity, and Performance business units.
- Convert business requirements into functional specifications for technology solutions.
- Collaborate with project teams, business users, QA, developers, and other stakeholders in an Agile environment to ensure timely delivery of projects within budget.
- Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and IT resources to ensure accurate implementation of requirements.
- Communicate modifications to business requirements to stakeholders, ensuring alignment with expectations.
- Work with teams to define systems scope and objectives based on user needs, industry standards, and business requirements.
- Ensure data integrity and error-free business processes by performing data checks and generating reports.
- Aggregate and integrate data from multiple sources to enhance business analytics.
- Maintain high standards for data quality, accessibility, and integrity.
- Create and maintain training materials, user documentation, and product release materials.
- Follow the SDLC process to ensure that all necessary steps are completed before code release.
- Provide application and production support as needed for departments and systems under your responsibility.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, computer science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 2-5+ years of experience in financial services, preferably supporting buy-side technology.
- Solid understanding of Equity, Fixed Income, and Derivatives asset classes.
- Strong SQL skills and a solid understanding of investment data.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to make independent decisions.
- In-depth understanding of systems development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile framework.
- Experience with Eagle suite of products—specifically PACE database and STAR Accounting process.
- Prior development experience with Eagle Web Panel designer and Message Center rules configuration.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Data Strategies configuration in Eagle Reference Data Center and Rules configuration in Performance Engine.
- Prior project experience with systems integration using Java and/or Informatica.
