The Senior Developer will code and test application programs, provide application support to internal customers and update complex system configuration artifacts. The Senior Developer will also produce functional and technical specifications, test plans and implementation plans. Additional duties include participation in system technical designs and software evaluations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop and support Duck Creek Policy Administration System insurance products and lines of business that meet business and technical requirements.

  • Collaborate with Business Analysts and Subject Matter Experts to gather and validate insurance product requirements.

  • Work on the Duck Creek OnDemand ecosystem and develop products that are compliant with the Duck Creek Active Delivery model.

  • Work on code movement and deployment across test environments and assist the release management team with production deployments.

  • Integrate Duck Creek Policy application with third party APIs and other data sources.

  • Provide guidance, train, and mentor the Duck Creek team where applicable and incorporate industry best practices/standards.

  • Provide inputs to product testing and validation scope and review artifacts.

  • Provide relevant information and report to business stakeholders by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development and service issues.

  • Work in a Hybrid model (3 days from office and 2 days from home).

Key Requirements:

  • 8 years of experience in professional software development with 5 years of experience in Property & Casualty Insurance domain.

  • 5 years of experience in configuring Duck Creek Policy components like Underwriting/Rules, Pages, Rating, TransACT and Forms.

  • 5 years of experience on Duck Creek Platform tools and applications like Server, Author, ManuScripts, Express, User Admin, Trace Monitor, Util.

  • 2 years of experience on Duck Creek OnDemand Policy Platform version 8.x.

  • 2 years of experience with Duck Creek Anywhere APIs, AMIs, Composed Requests.

  • 2 years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft .NET, XML, XPath, XSLT, SQL, C#.

  • 1 year of experience in providing training on Duck Creek Policy Platform

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Information Systems preferred.

Our current reasonable and good faith estimate of the annual salary or hourly wage range for this position is approximately $90,000-$145,000 based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills and experience, educational background and certifications, performance and qualifications, market demand for the role and other organizational needs.
