Job Duties and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse and distribution activities, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and company policies
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure accuracy through regular cycle counts and physical inventories
- Manage and optimize warehouse layout and storage utilization
- Coordinate with transportation providers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory, manage orders, and generate reports
- Manage the performance of the distribution team, including hiring, coaching, training, and performance evaluations
- Lead and facilitate lean manufacturing initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance productivity
- Apply lean tools and techniques to identify and eliminate process bottlenecks
- Develop and implement standard work procedures to ensure consistent and efficient operations
- Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the distribution team
- Provide leadership, guidance, and support to warehouse and distribution staff
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment
- Conduct regular team meetings to communicate updates, address concerns, and solicit feedback
- Identify training needs and develop training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge
- Resolve employee conflicts and disciplinary issues in a fair and consistent manner
- Ensure proper staffing levels to meet operational demands
- Develop and maintain performance metrics to track and improve warehouse and distribution efficiency
- Generate regular reports on key performance indicators, including on time delivery, inventory accuracy and cost per unit
- Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement
- Prepare and present reports to management on warehouse and distribution performance
- Effectively interact with all levels of organizational staff and company personnel

Skills, Experience and Requirements
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma/GED required, Bachelor's degree preferred
- Experience in order fullfillment for LTL and parcel shipments within a distribution or fullfillment environment
- Must have 2 to 3 years of experince with directly leading a team of a minimum size of 15 or more associates.
- Must have direct experinece working with multiple WMS and ERP systems (Manhattan Scale is preferred)
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proficiency in the English language to communicate, read, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operations and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Must have strong written, verbal and typing skills
- Ability to manage all personnel decisions (hiring, performance appraisals, terminations, etc.) in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of peers or employees of organization
- Intermediate computer expertise, including use of database, word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation applications
- Strong organizational, written and oral communication skills
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work in a standard office and warehouse environment
Weekly Schedule Requirements:
- Monday - Friday operations schedule is 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
