The North America Channel Sales is responsible for working with Authorized Resellers to provide Critical Communications (two-way radios, infrastructure, accessories), Video Security (body-worn cameras), and Command Center Software (voice dispatch, data applications, records management) to schools, hospitals, stadiums, and businesses everywhere.
Job Description
The Channel Sales Executive is responsible for achieving both sales and order financial plan performance for both the buy/sell and manufacture representative sleeves of the two-way radio business by leveraging the indirect channel partner ecosystem.
The Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations include:
Meet or exceed assigned sales targets and project quota for Professional & Commercial Radio (PCR) systems, subscriber products, services, consoles, accessories and applications.
Emphasis will be placed on “NEW” Account Development, working with our channel partners to identify opportunities
75% of time focused on end user engagements with or without a channel partner to grow business
Work with vertical marketing teams to identify end user engagement opportunities through associations or conferences.
Establish productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned channel partner accounts.
Leads PCR solution development efforts that best address end-user needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary company and partner personnel.
Participate and support Partner Quarterly Business Reviews, Dealer Sales Rep training, Channel Partner Open House End User Seminars, and Webinars.
Identify, evaluate and qualify strategic channel partners with strong system expertise, capability, desire and commitment to invest in system solutions.
Attain “Trusted Adviser” status with customers and Channel Partners to enable increased System and Business Development.
Specific Knowledge/Skills:
Bachelor's Degree with 4+ years of sales experience
Understand the value of industry specific applications for our products and provide guidance on their selection and integration
Ability to coach and mentor new sales reps within our Channel community
Full understanding of CRM software and how to utilize it to manage pipeline, opportunities, and contacts (knowledge of salesforce.com CRM is preferable but not required)
Participate in and support Channel Partner Reviews, Sales training, and trade shows
Proven closing skills with emphasis on velocity through the funnel
Fully proficient in the use of electronic document, spreadsheet, and presentation creation software (Google Apps preferred but not required)
Proven funnel development through aggressive prospecting and targeting
Technical/IT sales experience preferred
Experience with project sales preferred
Location and Travel Requirements:
- Candidate can live anywhere in the United States
- Must be willing to travel up to 50% of the time
Target Base Salary Range: $67,100 - $134,700 USD
