The Director, Visualization and Data Analytics will serve as the leader over R1’s reporting and analytics team. This position is responsible for setting the overall strategy and vision and executing corporate initiatives as it relates to R1’s reporting and analytics delivery. You will lead the delivery of Power BI and Tableau based reporting solutions for internal and external customers. The role will directly report to VP-level leadership and is responsible for managing internal relationships and is accountable for overall customer satisfaction of these solutions.
In this role, the successful candidate will orchestrate a tightly connected global workforce through the visualization and data analytics initiatives supporting internal and external clients. The candidate will lead, staff, train, and mentor resources, manage backlogs and customer priorities, and design innovative technology solutions. This role requires the candidate to develop internal relationships across the R1’s Digital team (e.g., Platform, Product, Technology, etc.).
Responsibilities:
- Lead team of visualization experts in providing high quality scalable reporting and analytics solutions using Power BI and Tableau
- Form strong working relationships with the data warehouse and data modeling leadership to streamline reporting data preparation and delivery
- Deliver external reporting and analytics solutions on time and on budget.
- Create backlog and prioritization of work to accomplish organizational objectives.
- Communicates with appropriate teams and stakeholders.
- Responsible for continual performance improvement across the visualization and data analytics vertical
- Hire team of engineers to manage and grow the portfolio; mentor and train employees and create a strong culture
Required Qualifications:
- Passion for healthcare and disrupting it with technology for the betterment of patient care and patient satisfaction.
- 7+ years in reporting and data analytics with a preference to revenue cycle operations, healthcare operations, management consulting, or related fields.
- 5+ years experience in an analytics manager position or similar role with knowledge of performance metrics
- Hands on reporting development with Power BI and Tableau with a deep understanding of how to effectively delivery high quality scalable analytics
- Familiarity with agile development approaches
- A proven track record of leading various technology and product resources, to coordinate, plan, and execute against an implementation plan
- Be a self-starter. You see a problem or opportunity and act on it independently.
