We're seeking an experienced Director of User Experience to lead our embedded UX team serving a major healthcare technology client. In this role, you'll manage a growing team of UX professionals (currently 2 researchers and 5 designers) who work as the in-house UX function for a mid-sized, early-stage healthcare technology organization serving the health insurance market.
This is a high-impact leadership role where you'll drive design excellence, build strategic relationships with product and engineering leadership, and create the conditions for your team to do their best work. You'll report to our VP of User Experience and serve as the operational owner of the team — the connective tissue between strategy and delivery — while also rolling up your sleeves on critique, coaching, and day-to-day quality.

- Navigate roadmap changes and ambiguity, helping the team stay productive despite shifting priorities
- Facilitate team rituals including weekly team meetings and twice-weekly critique sessions
- Coach the team to navigate their collaborations with product management independently, while stepping in to remove blockers that require your seniority
- Partner with Product on the shared product development lifecycle, from discovery through design and into build
