Role Summary
The US Eliquis Market Shaping Director reports to the US IM Innovation Lead and is accountable for driving impact in two key areas: the Persistency and Adherence strategy for Eliquis (co-promoted with Bristol Myers Squibb), and the broader Market Shaping strategy, including development of the post-Rx patient journey. The role will also include special projects for Eliquis and the wider Internal Medicine (IM) Business Unit.
Improving patient persistency is one of Eliquis' key strategic goals, and this role is central to delivering it. In parallel, the Director will surface new insights from the post-Rx patient journey and translate them into interventions that improve the patient experience.
This is a highly cross-functional role: success requires building alignment and trust with stakeholders across Brand Marketing, Clinical, Medical, Patient Services, Access & Value, and Global Marketing.
Key Responsibilities:• Lead the design and execution of the Eliquis adherence strategy, partnering with the brand team to close quality-of-care gaps and improve persistency.• Design adherence programs and track their impact against persistency and quality-of-care KPIs.• Drive implementation of the adherence strategy, including new patient services partnerships with clear messaging, frequency, and target audience mapping - in collaboration with the Eliquis Leadership Team.• Lead development of the post-Rx patient journey, leveraging market research to identify key opportunities to improve the patient experience.• Partner with analytics teams to translate market research, customer insights, and post-Rx patient journey data into initiatives that improve patient experience, adherence, and persistency.• Lead and contribute to special projects for Eliquis and the broader IM team, including providing commercial input for business development strategy for broader IM business unit.
Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree required; 8+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience; MBA and/or MPH preferred.• Strong knowledge of the US healthcare market.• Experience in US marketing and market access tactics.• Experience designing or leading patient adherence, persistency, or customer engagement programs.• Market research experience or significant engagement with market research across multiple projects.• Experience managing expenses, conducting ROI analyses, and making financial trade-offs.• Demonstrated initiative, strong problem-solving, decision-making, and leadership skills.• Demonstrated strategic and analytical capabilities, with experience implementing at the tactical level.• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively both one-on-one and in groups.• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, including experience leading and influencing cross-functional or indirect teams.
