What is Bilt?

With Bilt, paying rent now unlocks rewards & benefits at home, in your neighborhood, and when you travel–no matter where you live.

Bilt Members can earn points and access exclusive benefits at any home on rent payments, condo & co-op fees, and around their neighborhood at local restaurants, fitness studios, rideshare, and more. Ranked the highest-value point currency by top publications, Bilt Points can be transferred 1:1 to major airline and hotel programs, or used towards rent payments, shopping, fitness, and even a down payment on a home. Members also get access to credit-building benefits, member-only experiences, and an Elite Status program.

In partnership with the top multifamily owners & operators across the country, we’ve also created the Bilt Rewards Alliance, a network of 4M+ apartments and homes across the country. Residents who live in the Bilt Rewards Alliance make payments directly through the Bilt Payment Center and get access to benefits including additional earn opportunities on new leases, renewals, and more.

While Bilt Members can use any debit or credit card to earn points and access their benefits, Bilt has partnered with Mastercard and Wells Fargo to create the Bilt Mastercard® - the first and only credit card that lets you pay rent and earn points without the transaction fee.

What’s the role?

As the Director of Travel Partnerships here at Bilt Rewards, you will be responsible for managing and growing Bilt's relationships with airline and hotel partners. You will develop strategies to maximize member engagement with travel partners while ensuring these partnerships deliver value to both Bilt members and our partners. You will be the primary point of contact for our travel partners and will work closely with internal teams to develop and execute travel-related promotions and benefits.

In this role, you will…

  • Maintain weekly communication with Bilt airline and hotel partners to foster deep, positive relationships, reinforce Bilt's value proposition as a direct currency and travel partner, and ensure seamless partnership execution.
  • Conduct detailed analysis and develop strategic initiatives to maximize Bilt member engagement with each direct partner.
  • Create and implement comprehensive strategies to position Bilt as a marketing and engagement platform for hotel and airline partners, driving their specific goals and behaviors in the North American market.
  • Generate internal reports and analysis to shape Bilt's long-term strategic goals, focusing on meaningful member engagement with travel partners while effectively managing cost-per-point (CPP) and promotion expenses.
  • Design, implement, and evaluate evergreen and promotional Bilt elite status benefits to enhance member value and loyalty.
  • Develop, execute, and measure limited-time promotions for both Rent Day events and longer-term marketing campaigns.
  • Lead the development of Bilt's travel partner portal to enable near self-service capabilities, allowing travel partners to independently run campaigns on the Bilt platform.
  • Collaborate with Bilt's broader member loyalty team and travel technology partners to ensure smooth operations of the Bilt 2.0 Travel platform and develop enhanced travel capabilities that drive revenue to Bilt.
  • Spearhead additional partnership initiatives, including partner co-brand card spend programs, partner currency redemption through Bilt, and other strategic capabilities.

In terms of qualifications, we’re seeking:

  • 7+ years of experience in loyalty program management, partnership development, and/or travel industry roles
  • Passion for the travel and loyalty industry with a high understanding of hotel and airline loyalty programs and what makes great travel experiences
  • Demonstrable experience managing relationships with airlines and/or hotel chains
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable strategies
  • Experience developing and executing successful marketing promotions in the loyalty or travel space
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong project management abilities, organization skills and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of travel industry trends and best practices in loyalty program management
  • Experience with partnership development and contract negotiation
  • Technical understanding of loyalty platforms, currency exchange programs and complex SSO/API integrations

Benefits:

  • Compensation - We offer a competitive salary with a meaningful stake in the company via equity and our performance bonus program
  • Health insurance for you (& your loved ones) from day one - Enjoy a One Medical Membership, wellness stipends, family programs and more, on us. We’ve got you and your family covered from day one.
  • 401k plan with a match - Retirement may feel more like a pipe dream than a reality but we’re here to help you get there.
  • Commuter FSAs - We believe the best ideas come from being together in one place. We just don’t think getting there should be so expensive.
  • UNLIMITED PTO - Because we believe that working hard shouldn’t mean always working. Take time for you as often as you need it.
  • Exclusive Employee only Bilt Points - We give our employees unique opportunities to earn points throughout their time at Bilt.
  • Team Events - We believe in human connection so we hold events to help our employees break from the monotony of the typical work week.

At Bilt Rewards, we believe in transparency and we do our best to make sure the company and our candidates are on the same page as it relates to compensation. In addition to posting salary ranges for our open roles, candidates should expect to be asked about compensation expectations and requirements early on in their interview process. Our goal is to highlight when expectations and Bilt’s salary range may be out of sync, and work with the candidate to determine whether it makes sense to continue conversations.

We are considering candidates with differing levels of expertise for this position. Leveling will be based upon your experience and performance in the interview process.

Where a new hire falls within a range will be based on their individual skills and experience, and how these competencies compare across other employees in the same role. Bilt's bands are designed to allow for individual compensation growth within the role. As such, new hires typically start at the lower end of the range. Bilt rewards performance and outcomes - should you join the company, you will have the opportunity to grow your salary over time.

The salary range for a Director, Travel Partnerships is $125,000 - 160,000 and will be eligible for equity and an annual performance-based bonus.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
