Position Summary: 

The Director of Supply Chain will lead the strategic and operational management of ARaymond’s North American supply chain network, ensuring efficient, resilient, and customer-focused logistics and material flow. This role oversees planning, logistics, inventory management, warehousing, and supplier performance. The Director will play a critical role in supporting ARaymond’s operational excellence goals, driving digital transformation, and aligning supply chain strategies with business growth and sustainability objectives. 

Roles and Responsibilities: 

  • Lead end-to-end supply chain operations across North America, including customs, customer service, forecast/demand planning, production scheduling, inventory control, warehousing, and logistics. 

  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies that support business objectives, improve service levels, and reduce total landed cost. 

  • Collaborate closely with the Procurement team to ensure alignment between material availability, supplier performance, and production needs. 

  • Drive supply chain visibility and agility, leveraging digital tools and data analytics to improve forecasting, responsiveness, and decision-making. 

  • Ensure optimal inventory levels across the network, balancing working capital efficiency with customer service requirements. 

  • Oversee logistics and transportation operations, ensuring cost-effective, timely, and sustainable delivery of materials and finished goods. 

  • Support new product launches and engineering changes, ensuring supply chain readiness and minimal disruption to operations. 

  • Lead cross-functional initiatives to improve supply chain processes, reduce waste, and enhance collaboration between plants, suppliers, and customers. 

  • Ensure compliance with trade, customs, and regulatory requirements, and promote best practices in risk management and sustainability. 

  • Develop and mentor supply chain teams, building capabilities in planning, logistics, and systems management across multiple sites.  

  • All other related duties and/or projects as assigned.  

Education and Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred). 

  • Minimum 10-years of progressive experience in supply chain leadership roles, preferably in a manufacturing or automotive environment. 

  • Experience with SAP or other enterprise-level ERP systems. 

  • Strong understanding of international logistics, customs compliance, and sustainability practices supply chain planning, logistics, inventory optimization, and ERP/MRP systems. 

  • Proven ability to lead multi-site operations and cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, customer-driven environment. 

  • Experience with Lean principles, S&OP processes, and digital supply chain tools. 

  • Multilingual capabilities (e.g., French, German, Spanish) are a plus for global collaboration.

Reporting to this position 

  • Supply Chain Team Members:  Customs/Logistics/Planning/Customer Service/Distribution 

Physical Demands 

  • Frequent sitting, walking, standing. 

  • Use of computer with repetitive mouse use, keyboarding and visual demands. 

  • Must be able to work in the office for collaborative purposes. 

  • Frequent Travel by air, car, or other methods of travel. 

  • International and Domestic Travel up to 25%
