WHAT YOU’LL DOWe are looking for a Director of Strategic Finance to build and lead the Strategic Finance function. You'll be an instrumental part of the Finance leadership team and responsible for creating and maintaining the financial infrastructure to support our current and future business needs. You will have a unique opportunity to work closely with the executive leadership team, the board of directors, and investors on high-priority business issues and use quantitative insights to drive better decision-making across Bestow. The ideal candidate will not only have the technical skills to support their recommendations but also strong interpersonal skills to manage various stakeholders. This is a strategic leadership opportunity reporting to our VP of Finance.
You will contribute in the following ways:
Structure, build, and maintain complex financial and decision-making models to develop meaningful insights and actionable recommendations.
Lead annual budgeting and monthly/quarterly revenue and expense forecasting processes.
Own the development of key financial metrics and operating targets.
Develop a proactive investor relations strategy framework, including metrics, messaging, and valuation models. Assist with presentations for the board of directors, investors, and other relevant stakeholders.
Drive strategic cross-functional initiatives that support company OKRs.
Align departmental goals, processes, and resource allocation with Bestow’s organizational strategy.
Play a role in the company’s roadmap for IPO readiness.
Develop dashboards to track key performance metrics and monitor business performance. Provide management with insights into drivers of revenue and expenses, as well as risks and opportunities.
Architect and implement new analytics and planning systems to streamline reporting and automate internal processes.
Build and mentor a high-performing team that produces rich insights, plans, and forecasts with a high degree of transparency and accuracy.
B.S. or B.A. in accounting, finance, business, economics, math, or another technical field.
8+ years of professional work experience focusing on strategic finance or FP&A at a fast-growing technology company.
Superior financial analysis capabilities, including a deep understanding and comfort with building complex financial models.
Experience breaking down complex processes or models in a concise, consumable format.
Intellectually curious and demonstrated self-starter.
Exceptional presentation skills and attention to detail.
Outstanding and persuasive communicator. Ability to present a narrative supported by data and relevant metrics.
Collaborative style and viewed as a strong business partner, both efficient and consistently adding value.
Experience successfully building, leading, and mentoring teams.
Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting principles, including ASC 606.
Highly proficient with Excel and Google Workspace.
Experience working at a high-growth enterprise software startup.
