With deep expertise in artificial intelligence and clinical research, we empower healthcare professionals to provide consistently high-quality colorectal cancer screenings and support clinical research teams and study sponsors to expand and accelerate patient access to novel therapeutics.

We are growing our team and looking to add an enthusiastic and detailed oriented Director of Strategic Finance. We seek a driven, strategic leader to guide our finance function, building the foundation for long-term financial success while partnering with leadership to drive data-driven decision-making. In this critical role, you'll develop financial frameworks, optimize resource allocation, and partner with C-suite leaders on strategic initiatives. This is a high visibility and high impact role, with the opportunity to directly work with the Executive Team and to influence strategic decision making at the highest level.

What you'll be doing:

  • Strategic Financial Planning & Analysis
    • Serve as a thought partner to the CEO, CFO, and executive team, providing insights into our financial performance, strategic priorities, and investment opportunities
    • Lead and refine our financial planning process to drive profitable growth, forecasting, and budgeting, ensuring alignment with our strategic objectives
  • Operational & Financial Performance Management
    • Develop key management reports for executive and board meetings, highlighting metrics that are meaningful for company growth and strategy
    • Collaborate with department heads to develop and monitor their budgets, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and provide thought leadership on any corrective actions needed 
    • Develop and enhance financial models to analyze key growth levers, test scenario planning, and inform critical decision-making
  • Investor Relations & Fundraising
    • Partner with the CFO to develop compelling fundraising materials, investor presentations, and financial narratives that resonate with current and potential investors
  • M&A Support
    • Lead financial due diligence processes and post-merger integration efforts  to ensure seamless execution of transactions and value capture
  • Cross-Functional Influence & Leadership
    • Act as a strategic finance lead across departments, aligning cross-functional teams on financial priorities and optimizing resource allocation
    • Foster a culture of financial discipline and insight, championing best practices for financial management across the organization

Required skills:

  • 6+ years or more experience in finance or consulting, and at least 3 years in a leadership role
  • Strong understanding of financial statements and advanced proficiency in financial modeling (with the ability to build 3 financial statement models and other complex operating models from scratch)
  • Experience with supporting fundraising and M&A
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a commitment to accuracy and detail
  • Desire to be wear many hats and a willingness to jump on to various projects as needed

Preferred skills:

  • MBA or equivalent degree
  • Investment banking, private equity experience or management consulting experience
  • Experience working in FP&A or strategic finance within a fast growing startup
